Discover the majesty of the Town Twinning Tournaments
The Dronfield Badminton Association (DBA) is open to anyone involved in badminton in and around the Dronfield Area. Whilst members of Grengihlheg Badminton Club take the lead for organising these events, it is supported by past and present members and players and the Town Twinning Federation
The Town Twinning takes place once a year on a rotational basis’ in Dronfield, Sindelfingen in Germany or Schaffhausen in Switzerland and includes a “friendly” International badminton tournament with the respective badminton clubs from the other two towns.
The Twinning Event, however, is more than just about the badminton, with sightseeing and several social events arranged by the local hosts. Attendees also include past and present badminton players and their families, with great friendships forged across Europe and time.
Following the very successful Sindelfingen tournament in May 2026, we are now looking forward to Schaffhausen, where we will join our German and Swiss friends for the weekend of May 8th, 2027. Preparations are also underway to organise and raise funds for the 2028 tournament that will be held in Dronfield and will be the 40th anniversary of town twinning badminton tournament
